Worship

wORSHIP WITH uS: cOMPLINE

Deaconess Anne House practices a regular liturgical rhythm that includes daily Morning Prayer and a weekly Service of Holy Communion. We celebrate the diverse religious backgrounds of all our corps members, and we hope that each corps member, regardless of denominational affiliation, will dive deeply into the life of prayer practiced at Deaconess Anne House.

Communion
Holy Eucharist is celebrated at 7:15pm most Mondays after community supper. On the last Mondays of the month, dinner and worship is open to all (watch on home page for pandemic updates).
Sundays at Trinity-Central West End
Several Sundays a month, corps members worship together at Trinity, our host church where several families volunteer to "adopt" a corps member to support throughout the year.

Sunday Parish Visits
Throughout the program year, corps members are also invited to worship with parishes around the diocese, especially our Sponsoring Parishes, at times leading worship, preaching, and presenting at the adult forum!
Daily Morning Prayer
Daily Morning Prayer is observed Monday through Friday. Each corps member takes responsibility for offering morning and the community agrees what components of morning prayer are important. These always include reading from scripture and prayer, but Morning Prayer can be very different - or similar - from one day to the next.

Special Days of Reflection
Deaconess Anne House hosts special days of prayer and fellowship for the diocesan community:  Good Friday Way of the Cross and St. Benedict’s Feast Day. These days are organized by the members of Deaconess Anne House.
