Community Life at Deaconess Anne House

This is a community that lives, prays, learns, advocates and plays together!  Here's a typical DAH week:
Monday - Thursday, we begin our day together with Morning Prayer. Then it's off to our placement sites.
Monday evenings, we gather for Community Dinner and Worship.
Fridays, we come together for Chapter Meetings where we reflect upon scripture, read from our Rule of Life, review our common life with a weekly examen, and enter into a time of discernment. After lunch, we attend classes exploring community organizing, theology, faith practices, and the enneagram.
Saturdays, once a month the community participates in an activity that serves the wider community and seasonally goes on retreat together or with other ESC programs.
Sundays, the community worships together regularly at Trinity-St. Louis and also visits other parishes around the diocese, preaching and leading the adult forum when invited.

One great blessing is that we have alumni corps members from prior years still living in town.  They join us on various occasions. Life is never dull at Deaconess Anne!
