Chapter Meetings
Friday mornings are a little more leisurely, but just because our corps members are not at work does not mean work isn't being done! Corps members gather for Morning Prayer and then Chapter meeting, a time for checking in with one another, sharing regrets, grievances, and thanksgivings. Then, they discuss a section of their Rule of Life: how are we doing this well? Where do we have room to grow? What are our values and how are we living into them? Discernment This is a workshop that includes scripture study, TEDx talks, readings, and lots of conversation and play that moves our corps members into thinking about where we come from (family of origin), where we are now (Benedictine Lifestyle and Christian Identity), and where we are going (Discerning Vocation and Lifestyle). We provide our corps members with the space to think about where God is calling them in this moment of their lives and to discover the best path forward. Corps members also have time to focus on their placement sites, along with significant incidents that are shaping them in this journey. Spiritual Direction A Spiritual Director meets with corps members once a month for group and individual spiritual advice, direction, and discernment. |
